
ANNA MINELLA – Violin
She begins studying the
violin at the age of five, at six she enters the Conservatory Verdi
of Milan.
At thirteen she
performs Paganini repertoire at the Teatro delle Erbe of Milan,
as guest violinist in the Parade Rassegna Giovani Talenti.
As a member for seven
years of the Teatro alla Scala Coro Voci Bianche, she takes part
in many operas and concerts under the conduction of M. Ozawa, Gavazzeni,
Sinopoli, Muti, and others.
For four years she
attends the Composition Class at the Conservatory “Verdi” of Milan.
In 1998 she gets
Classical Matura with top marks at Liceo Classico Berchet
of Milan.
At eighteen she enters
the class of M. Massimo Marin at the Conservatory Verdi of Turin
where the following year she gets the Compimento Superiore di Violino
Diploma, being granted the Special Prize Berrino.
She’s admitted and
attends violin international Master Classes taken by M. Enzo Porta,
Felice Cusano, Giulio Franzetti, konzertmeister of the Teatro Alla Scala
Orchestra.
She attends the
International Academy of Florence and the international Asteria Academy
of Milan in the class of Prof. Cristiano Rossi.
She gets scholarships
at the International Accademia Chigiana of Siena, where for three
years she attends the courses of Prof. Giuliano Carmignola and Boris
Belkin. She gets a scholarship at the Manhattan School - New York, where
she attends the stage held by M. Isaac Malkin.
After her Italian
Diploma, Anna is admitted to attend the Hochschule für Musik of Luzern,
where in 2001 she gets the Konzertdiplom “Sehr Gut” in the
class of Prof. Carmignola. The following academic year she enters the
class of Prof. Boris Belkin at the Music University of Maastricht –
Hogeschool Zuyd, where in two years she completes the full-time,
four-years Bachelor Degree program of the department of music, getting
in 2003 the Bachelor Degree and two years later, in 2005, she
achieves the Master Performer Degree.
She gets several first
prices and scholarships in national and international competitions, as
Città di Stresa international competition, Rassegna Vittorio
Veneto, Riviera della Versilia, Città di Macerata
(first prize absolute – second and third prizes not assigned).
Since 1992, in Duo
violin - guitar she performs with success of public and critics alike
through Italy, Germany (Bonn, Hamburg, Landshut, Regensburg, Eichstatt,
Schweinfurt, Rheinfelden etc.), Switzerland (Settimane Musicali – Lugano)
Romania, Canada (Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver…) and for three tours
Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Tsuyama, Takamatsu, Tonosho, Kurashiki,
Fukuyama, Kochi-Haruno, Okayama, Tokushima…).
In Duo she plays also
for Radios and Televisions (NHK Japanese National Television, Bucarest
Televion, Romania).
German Press writes
about her “Everything seemed to be easy to this extraordinary
violinistic talent…” “… she masters the hardest difficulty in the most
virtuoso passages…” “… Sonata played with strength and artistic
temperament…” “…wonderful were also passionate richness, expressive

In parallel with her
Duo’s activity, she plays in many orchestras and chamber groups through
Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, as Orchestra Cherubini,
conducted by Riccardo Muti, Kamerorchestre van het Conservatorium
Maastricht, Junge Philarmonie Zentralschweiz, Orchestra da Camera
Tigullio, Orchestra Pomeriggi Musicali - Milano, Cantelli
Orchestra, I Solisti di Pavia, and others, under the conduction
of M. Riccardo Muti, Jan Stulen, Thuring Bräm, Daniele Callegari, Danilo
Marchello, Patrick Fournillier, Marc Andrae, Enrico Dindo, and others,
many times holding leader or principal second parts. As both
Konzertmeister and Principal Second she takes part in orchestral
exchange projects with Mozarteum Salzburg, performing Mozart orchestral
repertoire in the big hall at Conservatory of Turin.
She joins several
groups in different formations, Duo with piano, Duo with Cembalo, Trio,
Quartet, Sextet and Voice, and others, performing through many halls in
principal cities as Milan, Turin, Luzern, Basel, Maastricht, Rotterdam
and others. She attends as the first violin chamber Masterclasses held
by M. Henk Guittart, from the Shoenberg Quartet van Amsterdam.
As first violin
soloist, she performs Vivaldi’s four violins Concerto in the big hall of
Verdi Conservatory, Turin, and Bach Double Concerto at the
S. Rafael University of Milan.
In June 2005 she’s
selected by International Academy of Music - Florence and records some
Tartini and Paganini repertoire for a CD production in Scandicci, Italy.
With the chamber
orchestra I solisti di Pavia, in May 2006 she’s in tour through
Argentina and Chile, performing in great theatres like the Coliseum in
Buenos Aires, El Circulo in Rosario, and others. In the same group in
June 2006 she records a CD for Amadeus.
In July 2006, in Duo
guitar violin she records a new CD for MAP label entitled La chitarra
e il violino di Niccolò Paganini. |

ALDO AND ANNA MINELLA – Duo
Since 1992, the Duo performs with success of
public and critics alike through Italy, Germany (Bonn, Hamburg, Landshut,
Regensburg, Eichstatt, Schweinfurt, Rheinfelden etc.), Switzerland, Romania,
Canada (Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver) and Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Tsuyama,
Takamatsu, Tonosho, Kurashiki, Fukuyama, Kochi-Haruno, Okayama, Tokushima..),
where the Duo’s been invited to come back for its fourth Japanese concert tour.
The Duo performs also for
Radios and Televisions (NHK Japanese National Television, Bucarest Television,
Romania).
The Duo is currently invited to
perform through Australia (Sidney, Melbourne).
The Duo’s been recording a CD La chitarra
e il violino di Paganini for M.A.P. productions.
